You already know us well—we only choose the most resistant carbon fiber. With an intermediate modulus, Mitsubishi MR70 is a late generation, high-end carbon fiber, developed for the most discerning clientele in the aerospace industry. This is the best option to ensure pure performance while riding, providing high resistance as well as a mindblowing lightness.

Wondering what all this Discontinous Fiber Composites are about? — With DFC, carbon fibers are shorter in length, and distributed randomly around the composite. This anarchic disorganization gives the material a much more homogeneous structure, providing a more isotropic-like behaviour to the material. This, combined with one of our latest development progress, had lead us to a Patent Pending innovation that overwhelms everybody.

PROCESS

Pressure and temperature — basically, the two main factors to manufacture Carbon Fiber pieces. In this case, a heated mold is closed by a huge press, melting the resin of the composite while making the material flow along the cavity. We control this material expansion, by designing an initial shape of the raw material, in order to adquire, after the compression, the desired fibers distribution.

After a controlled compression process, discontinous carbon fibers enter each teeth geometry providing a structural organization inimaginable with any other production process.

CHAIN STRESS

Carbon fiber is not the same everywhere—this is why we have chosen the most resistant fiber, with an intermediate modulus. Mitsubishi MR70 is a latest generation, high-end carbon fiber, developed for the most discerning clientele in the aerospace industry. This is the best option to ensure optimum performance of the handlebar, as well as increase its resistance lowering its weight.

CONTINOUS STRUCTURE

The material properties are really important, but so is the building structure of the parts—this is why we use a “sandwich” structure, using twill as the external and internal layers to increase its resistance to delamination due to impacts, and a UD carbon fiber core that ensures getting the best mechanical and structural properties of the fiber.
