More than three years of research and development, over 500 prototypes, thousands of kilometers of testing in all kinds of conditions by the most demanding riders... the result? Two international patent applications and the most technologically advanced chainring.
Thanks to a process involving over 100 tons of controlled pressure and the specific arrangement of the material in the mold, the composite fibers are arranged in the geometry of each tooth around the metal core with a structural concentric organization that gives it a strength impossible to achieve with any other carbon fiber manufacturing process, such as those manufactured in layers or subsequent CNC machining.

Rigel's tooth design has been developed to be compatible with any chain on the market for 11 and 12 speeds, for both Shimano, SRAM eagle and SRAM eagle Flattop chains.
If you want to maximize the life of your Rigel chainring, we recommend using a new chain when installing it and monitoring its wear. This will extend the life of your RIGEL carbon chainring by many miles.
Defining a general durability for a component of this type is impossible, since its durability depends on the power exerted by the cyclist when pedaling, the slope, maintenance, etc. These are factors that can determine whether some cyclists ride more km than others, just like with a conventional aluminum chainring, so we cannot give you specific data. Keep in mind that the core is made of metal, so the wear will be similar to an aluminum chainring.
The 6.5mm offset is compatible with all bikes that have a 142mm BOOST rear hub setup.
Yes, it's the lightest Direct Mount chainring. The 30T, SRAM 3-bolt version weighs around 39g, as it primarily uses carbon fiber for both the frame and the teeth, despite having an internal metal core used solely to extend its lifespan.
We recommend lubricating your drivetrain with a dry lubricant to prevent particles from adhering to the chain and causing premature wear on your RIGEL carbon chainring. Keeping your drivetrain clean and well-lubricated will extend the life of your RIGEL.
Rigel is made from Forged Carbon, resulting in a continuous fiber structure within the tooth that is unattainable with traditional carbon fiber manufacturing processes. In addition, its internal metal core provides superior wear performance of the carbon teeth.
