Its body is conceived as a continuous carbon shell . This design allows the carbon fiber to work stretched throughout the entire geometry, achieving an extremely light and resistant structure, while the fixing system is made of forged carbon , a cutting-edge material, and all the screws are made of Titanium , to lighten your bike as much as possible and make you feel like you are flying with it.

We handcraft each seatpost in our Barcelona workshop , using our own technology and the finest carbon fiber. That's why this seatpost is unique, an exclusive piece, with limited production, so you can reduce the weight of your bike with design and personality.

- Lightweight (default) : from 65 g, maximum lightness and comfort (maximum rider + bike weight of 90 kg)
- Performance : +35 g, increased rigidity, crash resistance, and power transmission. (maximum rider and bike weight 130 kg)

The resistance testing process is key during the development of the Carbon laminate, that's why we carry out all the tests in our own workshop, to ensure that the parts we design and manufacture are at another level.

Älsak FAQs

Yes, the different diameters of Älsak are designed according to the different seat tube standards. To find yours, check the inner diameter of your bike's seatpost housing and you'll know which Älsak diameter to choose.

Yes, our clamp system makes it fully compatible with any standard seat rail, from circular to oval.

Of course, you can choose from our 250, 300, 350, and 400 mm length options. For each length option, the clamping area is specifically positioned relative to its base, so the seatpost can only be mounted within the defined area. Therefore, if you want to shorten the length of the Älsak seatpost, you must select a STD option, as it is not possible to cut the tube.

The seatpost cannot be cut; the carbon layup is optimized for each length. You must choose the length that best suits your measurements and select that length when ordering.

Both options only determine the carbon fiber pattern of the last layer of the seatpost, while the internal structure is the same for all options, performing exactly the same under riding stress. The UD (unidirectional) pattern is a fiber arrangement where all carbon fibers are parallel to each other, in a single direction. On the other hand, a 12K pattern is a fiber arrangement in which the fibers are woven in groups, visually forming a grid pattern across the surface.

Both options only determine the finish of the last layer of lacquer on the seat post. A gloss finish is completely smooth and generates very defined light reflections, while a matte finish is characterized by a more textured finish, which makes the reflections on the surface much more diffuse.

The key to Älsak's incredible weight is its hollow monocoque body. Unlike most carbon fiber seatposts, the upper section, where the mechanism elements are mounted, is not a solid body, and the surfaces where the pivot elements rotate are not intersections of the tube, resulting in a highly controlled mounting surface, fully supported by a fiber structure positioned in the optimal distribution. This sophisticated structure allows us to design a material optimization to provide an extremely light and beautiful seatpost.
